For those not familiar with Peter Cosgrove, was an Australian army general who also worked for the U.S. government on occasion.

Well, it turns that will make thing a couple of years this individual was interviewed for a radio. The interview in question was by a woman asking the man about a visit to a boy-scauts going to do that day to the headquarters where it operated.
The interview in question led to this:
INTERVIEWER:
So, General Cosgrove, what they will teach these young people or children when they visit a military base?
GENERAL COSGROVE:! We will teach
climbing, canoeing, archery and shooting weapons.
INTERVIEWER:
"Shooting a gun!? That's a bit irresponsible. Do not you think?
GENERAL COSGROVE:
do not see why. They will be adequately supervised in the firing ranges.
INTERVIEWER:
You Do not admit that this is a terribly dangerous activity to teach children?
GENERAL COSGROVE:
do not know how. We will teach the relevant discipline to use a rifle well before they touch a firearm.
INTERVIEWER: But is
to equip them to become violent murderers.
GENERAL COSGROVE:
Well, Madam, you are equipped to be a prostitute, but she is. Is not that right?
radio transmission remained silent for 46 seconds and when it resumed the interview was terminated.
